NEW STRAIN/SPECIES OF CORONA VIRUS IN NEPAL AND INDIA

 A new genetic variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 has been arrived to Nepal.

    New species of corona enters Nepal, infection confirmed in 5 people.Also, in INDIA ,there are 6 people have been confirmed to be new Covid-19 infected.They had also came back from UK to INDIA.

The Ministry of Health and Population is monitoring 193 people from the UK, the origin of a new variant of the Covid-19. Infections have been confirmed in five of them.

Dr. Vasudev Pandey, Director, Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, informed that the monitors would be treated by PCR test if they showed any symptoms of fever and flu. The department has tested the PCR of 12 of them yesterday alone. The ministry had earlier issued a notice requesting all those who entered Nepal via the UK or the UK to stay in the hotel quarantine for 10 days between January 1 and 7.

Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry, said that the new form of the virus is the evolved form of Covid-19. “Viruses change. Similarly, Covid-19 virus has changed to become a new virus, ”he said.“ It has the same symptoms as Covid-19. Its moving capacity is a bit higher. More studies are yet to be done, ”he said. He said people from the UK, US and Africa were being tested and quarantined.

Dr. Pandey, Director of the Division, informed that preparations are being made to send the virus out for re-testing as there is a problem in detecting the new species virus through PCR test. Dr Sagar Raj Bhandari, director of Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital, said that the new strain of the virus was similar to that of Covid-19 and that the rate of transmission was increasing. According to him, those infected are treated like Covid-19 patients.

A study has shown that the new species of corona virus is 56 percent more dangerous and the infection rate faster than the old species.
